Gum Disease Treatments

While many people associate bleeding gums with gum disease, it’s more common that as gum disease begins there are no warning signs at all. At Zenith Dental, our dentist can catch perio disease early and offer a variety of highly effective treatment options:

Deep cleanings – A deep cleaning goes above and beyond what you get during a standard cleaning. We’ll remove bacterial buildup from above the gum line to reduce gum inflammation and to prevent the spread of gum disease.

ARESTIN – Microspheres containing a powerful antibiotic can be used to kill the bacteria that cause gum disease. Often used in conjunction with a deep cleaning treatment.

Your First Visit

Many patients who visit Zenith Dental have questions about their gums. Your first visit includes a full set of x-rays, a thorough exam, cleaning, and time to speak with your perio dentist (expect to spend about 60 minutes at our office).

We’ll review your x-rays, talk about any signs of periodontal disease, and discuss next steps.
